Since summer is coming to an end, the cats thought it would be nice to have a luau party.
They all wore matching leis, and had a pretty good time
Jeeves and Cloud even touched noses. They were immediately repulsed by this decision and I unfortunately did not capture their reactions.
What a good summer it has been!
This year Steven and I decided to have a July Fourth party at our house, since we have been fixing up our backyard.
We grilled up some hotdogs on our cute little grill.
There’s my little veggie dog on top of all the big meaty dogs..
Later that evening we took some mildly creepy sparkler night shots, we were all too hyped up on hot dogs to stand still apparently.
I like how my sister’s leg is just floating around, doing it’s own thing in this shot..
It was a fun time We definitely should invite people over more often, we’re not the most social people on the planet.. Haha.
The cats are all decked out and excited for the Holiday weekend!
(These expressions are the hilarious result of me making a high pitch noise in attempt to make them look at the camera!)
Cloud acts like a statue and lets me drape her in all kinds of party paraphernalia.
Jeeves knows cats don’t belong on tables, so I always have the worst time getting him in the photos. Then I realized I could move the photo shoot elsewhere. Problem solved!
It’s time to party!
I hope everyone in the US has a good Fourth! And I hope everyone else has a great weekend!
HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY!!
Don’t party too hard!
I tried to get a good Christmas photo of all three cats, but it didn’t work out too well this time around, they were just too turnt up by all the fun decorations. But I did end up getting a few cute shots of each one. Enjoy!
Chester loved the candy canes!
This is Cloud’s snooty face.
Jeeves is a tough guy to take pictures of, he hates posing!
I had to sing in a deep scary voice to get him to look at me.
He was not impressed!
Cloud lets me know when she’s done with the photo shoot.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!
I wasn’t sure if the matching cardigan was a god idea or a monstrosity, but Steven said it worked because they were two different textures. I took his word for it because it was too cold not to wear it!
Sookie wasn’t sharing my Christmas enthusiasm.
Dress: Forever 21
Leggings: Forever 21
When I saw this dress I just knew it was the perfect holiday party dress! Burgundy has been my favorite color to wear this winter (in case you couldn’t tell!). It’s made out of a stretchy material so paired with leggings it was a really comfortable outfit. I wore it to the annual Christmas party at my Mom’s house, which was so much fun,
I picked up some Halloween decorations and made each of the cats a necklace to get them in a spooky Halloween mood.
Jeeves is always a blur…
Have a bunch of fun!
Today is our first wedding anniversary!
We always knew we wanted a casual, un-traditional wedding, more like a big fun party than anything else. We didn’t want to make our guests sit through a long ceremony, and than wait even longer to eat boring finger foods. This way our guests could start partying and pigging out as soon as they got there on all kinds of stuff, including hot wings, stroganoff and all the cheesey treats you can imagine!
We choose my Mom’s lovely house and yard as the location and invited everyone we knew. We had the ceremony in the morning with just a few family members around, then had a delicious brunch and got ready for the big party later in the day.
To make me laugh in this photo he said “I just imagined Cloud in a bikini… :/”
(Any guesses as to what my favorite color is??)
My mom spent months preparing her house and yard for the big day and everything turned out so well, way better than I could have imagined! You should check out some of the other events she has put together here.
One whole room was dedicated to desserts and treats and another was dedicated to the food! (See more photos of the dessert room here, I didn’t want to overwhelm everybody with too many pictures!)
My only regret is that I didn’t get to stand right here the entire night and pig out on all this CHEESE.
The backyard was transformed into a magical land! My out of town family members arrived the day before and we worked into the evening to create this lovely scene.
It was a lot of fun, I’m so glad we decided to have a laid back wedding that was (almost!) stress free. It was a pretty exhausting day so we were relieved when it was all done and an entire week at the beach lay ahead of us. Although I do wish I could go back and enjoy the party as if I were a guest, the whole day flew by so fast!
Since the Fourth of July happens to fall on a cat photos friday, this year, I knew I had to do something special…..
So I took a trip to the dollar and picked out a bunch of props for an exciting cat photo shoot! They didn’t mind wearing their fancy necklaces and were rewarded with lot of treats!
Sometimes, Cloud shows true disdain for her brothers..
Chester action shot plus a modeling Cloud.
Who would have thought Jeeves could look so beautiful?
Happy Independence day if you are in the US! And happy cat photos friday if you’re someplace else!
Don’t party too hard!
February 8th was my 23rd birthday! And I must say that this has probably been the best birthday ever. It was an entire day filled with fun activities! (Yay for birthdays falling on Saturday!) Since my new goal has been to take more photos, I tried to document all the fun moments of my birthday adventure.
I had a party Friday evening and my mom made these super cute drinks. I don’t exactly remember what was in it, but I’m pretty sure it involved cranberry juice and wedding cake flavored vodka.
Instead of a cake I had delicious brownies with frosting.
We started my birthday morning off with a trip to McDonalds for an egg and cheese biscuit and a hazelnut iced coffee. I am obsessed with those coffees..
Next it was time to do one of our favorite activities of driving around and exploring. We set out to find a creepy place we found about a year ago while exploring.
Found the creepy place! Looks like they were building an entrance to a fancy neighborhood but then abandoned it.
After that we checked out some antique stores.
*Wait a minute… What’s that in the corner…*
IT’S A LAND CAMERA.
I have been wanting one of these for a while now and I was just telling everyone the night before how much I really wanted one. I was so excited! The downside is that they stopped making this film in 1992 and it’s really hard to find. And expensive!! But I’ll probably give it a shot, just to see how it comes out. I still would like to get a slightly newer version of the land camera that you can still but film for. But this guy is in perfect shape!
After all the camera excitement it was time to bake lavender lemon cupcakes with my mom. I took a bunch of photos that I’ll share along with the recipe later.
For dinner Steven and I went out for Thai food. We shared a shrimp and vegetable curry and sticky rice with ice cream for dinner.
We ended the day with a bag of yummy Indian snacks!
